It has been observed that people who work with concrete pumps get themselves injured severely many times, they loss their fingers, arms and such body parts cut off  while working. This happens a lot when they clean these pumps with their hands with the motor still running. Never put your hand or finger in the hopper outlet valve or lubricating when the motor is still on.

Many injuries happened just because the worker thought that if the remote is off then there is nothing to worry about but it is not true. It is very dangerous; the button of the remote can be pushed on while the operator is still tangling with any part of the machine and his hand or arm can get chopped. It happens in a blink of an eye and people do not get a single second to save themselves.

It is important before using any such machine to read the manual given with it from the manufacturer it can help to understand the right way of operating such heavy motors. There is no need to be over confident when you are working with such pumps always remember to switch off the machine properly and remove the key before putting your hands or arms on the moving parts of these pumps. It is important for its pressure to be at zero before you do your work.

Positions as pump operator will increase in summer so many people service their concrete pumps and equipment on this time of the year. It is important that you have checked motor and its parts properly to make sure that they are in working condition so that they will not ditch you while you are working. Make sure that the hose ends and insides do not have hole and have spots. Check the reducer and its end too to do that you will have to hit the reducer with hammer lightly, if you listen that the voice is too bright that means it has been worn down and need repairing or better to replace it because they can explode on a person’s face. To check the hoses you can roll it from one way than from the other way and you will be able to check both ends, if you find any problem in any hose replace it immediately.

The manual will guide you properly when and how to change the motor oil and hydraulic fluid and all filters. Check for lose nuts and bolts, lose wire and fittings, check the pressure of accumulator and do not work if it has low pressure. It will need charging to increase the pressure.

Not giving attention to the damaged part of the pump can be too much dangerous not just for the user also for people who are around it on the time. It will definitely cost you but that will be very less than the lives that will be lost in case of irresponsibility.
